Job description
- Design and build PLC control software for advanced material handling systems on customer projects using Siemens tools and equipment;
- Conduct rigorous testing of control systems, both in emulated environments and with real-world equipment, to validate system performance and reliability;
- Perform commissioning delivering project solution, tested, and documented for the customer meeting or exceeding our standards;
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate automation systems into comprehensive material handling solutions.;
- Create and maintain good relations with customers;
- Maintain Gebhardt image as top-quality, professional company.
Requirements
- A successfully completed degree in either automation engineering, electronics engineering, or mechatronics engineering;
- A ‘Can-do’ attitude with a passion for continuous learning and embracing new challenges;
- Experience in programmable logic controllers such as Siemens, Beckhoff, Allen-Bradley, etc.;
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting electrical drawings and system schematics;
- Previous use of CAD tools;
- Good understanding of automation engineering principles, implementing, and testing with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions;
- Communication skills in English, both written and spoken;
- Willingness to travel internationally to customer sites to support project delivery and collaborate with other teams;
- Valid driving license.
Nice to have
- Experience in the material handling industry or other industrial automation sectors;
- Electrical qualification;
- Familiarity with Industrial Control equipment such as: ethernet-based field buses (EtherCAT, ProfiNet, etc.), and drive control systems.
